May is set to be an important month for financial talks and decisions. Take your magnifying glass and examine your finances to see if your investments are performing as well as you had hoped. With the Sun and new moon of May 6 lighting your house of other people's money, along with Mercury and Venus, you may also be focused on news concerning a bonus or commission, or you may be putting in an application for university tuition aid, or a mortgage, or an insurance payout, as some examples.

Five out of eight planets will be retrograde at some point in May, so don't expect a quick answer. Make sure your words are accurate, for if you have errors in your application, the processing will be delayed further. Mercury, the planet of communication, will go direct on May 22, and even after it does regulate its orbit, it will take many weeks for Mercury to return to full strength again.

Your best day to meet with a financial advisor to improve your holdings will be May 10, when your ruler, Venus, will be in sublime angle to profit-oriented Jupiter.
